Alcohol Infused Whipped Cream Recipes

Making homemade Alcohol infused whipped cream is easy, fun and simple!  Start with a basic whipped cream recipe and then add your  favorite liqueur! If you have a  .25 Liter dispenser just cut recipe in half.

Basic Whipped Cream

Ingredients

1/2 liter  regular whipping cream

½ teaspoon vanilla

¼ cup powdered sugar.

Now, let’s add some alcohol!

To flavor your whipped cream with your favorite liqueur, add 1-½ tablespoons to the mixture before adding a N20 cartridge. Try any of the following:

  • Grand Marnier
  • Frangelico
  • Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • Chambord
  • Kahlua
  • Amaretto
  • Godiva Chocolate
  • Godiva White Chocolate
Mix ingredients into dispenser and add 1 N20 charger and shake it well.
Here is one of my favorite recipes:

Chocolate-Coffee Cognac Whipped Cream

Ingredients

1/2 liter  regular whipping cream
5 tablespoons dark cocoa
1 teaspoon instant coffee
1 shot cognac
¼ cup powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients well and pour into canister.
  2. Insert a N2O charger, shake vigorously for 10 seconds, chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes and dispense as necessary.

Fizzy Fruits – Carbonated Cherries

Carbonated Cherries
Makes about 1 cup

1 (10-oz) jar maraschino cherries
Pint whipped cream dispenser
C02 soda chargers

Drain cherries and discard juice. With a paring knife, slit each cherry from the bottom to butterfly them. Place cherries in whipped cream dispenser. Charge with two C02 soda chargers, give it a light shake and then let sit refrigerated overnight. When you are ready to serve cherries, release the CO2 by squeezing the handle. It is very important that all the gas is released! Then unscrew the top and remove cherries to a container with a tight-fitting lid. Cherries will stay fizzy for about 15 to 25 minutes. Yum!

Cranberry Whipped Cream

Cranberry Whipped Cream

  • 8 ounces cranberry sauce
  • 8 ounces vanilla yogurt
  • 1 egg whites pasteurized
  • 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar

Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl, mix them well.  Pour no more then 2 cups into a 1 pint whipped cream dispenser and charge 1 N20 charger, serve and refrigerate.

Fizzy Fruit

Fruit is delicious as it is, but have you tried carbonated fruit? You have always been able to do this using  dry ice, but that is never usually readily available and hard to come by. Carbonated fruit is delicious,

really fun and pretty easy. All you need is a soda siphon or whipped cream dispenser and C02 cartridges. The Co2 cartridges are the same size as the N20 cartridges so there will be no problem using C02 in your whipped cream dispenser —  here are the steps!

Fizzy Fruit

  1. Fill the whip cream dispenser (or siphon) with fruit
  2. Screw on top securely
  3. Charge with one soda charger (two if you have the 1 L whipper)
  4. Leave in for a few hours
  5. Release pressure with valve  - ( don’t forget this step!)
  6. Unscrew top and serve!

It’s a fun way for kids to eat fruit, and also a great decorative added for mixed drinks or garnish on top of desserts!

Delicious Buttermilk Pancakes

There is nothing quite like buttermilk pancakes, I have found that the best method to make pancakes is by using a whip cream dispenser, which makes them extra fluffy and delicious and also a much quicker and cleaner, clean up.

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • cooking spray ( for griddle)

Mix all the ingredients into a small mixing bowl and pour the mixture into the dispenser, dispense 1 N20 charger

Or try the Flappin Jack recipe, but try using 2/3 milk we find it to work better. Once you have mixed the recipe ingredients together put it into a whipped cream dispenser and add 1 Nitrous Oxide charger and then dispense onto a hot griddle, serve with your favorite maple syrup and melted butter!

A Seltzer Bottle Documentary

I’m much a fan of great documentaries, and I have recently watched on called “Seltzer Works” . It is a very interesting documentary about one of the last Seltzer shops in New York City.

“Third generation seltzer filler Kenny Gomberg is the last bottler in Brooklyn”.  While watching a short piece,  I’m reminded how far we have come. With a quick ring to our shop or a couple clicks of the mouse you can have a seltzer maker and C02 delivered to your door, that you own and are able to make as much seltzer you would like.  I really enjoyed watching this documentary,  I think you will too.

The Green Solution

Soda Siphons are an ‘Active Green product. This means that by making soda or   sparkling water at home, rather than buying it from a shop, consumers are actively reducing their CO2 footprint. The user’s CO2 footprint is reduced the more that they use their system.

Traditional, shop bought drinks bottles are made obsolete, as the soda siphon uses water that comes straight from the tap. As a result of this less plastic is wasted in the manufacture of drinks bottles. The cost and environmental impact of transporting bottles between manufacturers, distributors, shops and homes is also reduced. According to the Zenith International Global Bottled Water Report of 2008, 206 billion litres of bottled water were consumed across the world in 2008 alone. A lot of energy is needed to make water bottles, equivalent to over 17 million barrels of oil in the United States alone! (Container Recycling Institute, 2002).

According to the US Recycling Institute, more than 80& of bottles do not get recycled. As a result of this, they end up in landfill sites. The United Kingdom suffers from a similar problem, with the only difference being our country has less land available for landfill sites. To replace the 134 billion bottles and cans which were not recycled in 2005, over 4.7 million tons of greenhouse was emitted.

Bottled water is a big part of modern British life, but it shouldn’t be. We have the chance to offset the environmental damage caused by such significant numbers. Unlike certain natural disasters, we can make a difference here! Soda siphons are a wonderful solution, and they offer endless flavours! Due to the large amount of syrups available, you will be able to make your own mixtures!
